![]() Granted, that’s a fairly complex example but I could NEVER have done that in Camtasia 8! In fact, I would have used PowerPoint for animations and exported a video to pull into Camtasia but…with Behaviors? I’m totally rethinking how I create these nice effects and will be using Camtasia 9 much more all kinds of animation like Titles, Lower Thirds, Explainer videos, and Kinetic Typography (like the sample). When you combine typography and animation, you get kinetic type. TechSmith only has a few basic tutorials available for animation in general. It relies heavily on Behaviors with some regular transition animations as well: You have seen Kinetic Typography or Kinetic Text before it’s not new but it is making a comeback along with animated, whiteboard and cartoon marketing videos. Here’s an experiment I created to see just how much I could push the animation features in Camtasia 9. Open FX and audio plugins, or add third party title and motion graphics templates. Hands down my favorite new feature in Camtasia 9 has to be “Behaviors”.īehaviors are pre-configured animation templates that you can drop onto visual elements on the timeline (images, callouts, text, video, etc.). Its like having your own post production studio in a single app. ![]()
